Music is an integral part of The Hearth experience.  A typical event program goes like this:
An introduction for the evening
A bit of music
Three stories
A bit of music
An intermission
More music
Three more stories
Closing statements
Music to end the event
Event ends

If you are a musician or a group of musicians, please contact us.
Helpful Hearth Hints for Musicians

The Hearth is a non-profit community building model with first person story telling, reflective listening and community service. Each Hearth event raises money for another non-profit in the community. And, each Hearth’s story telling and music reflects a theme for that event.

Bethany Presbyterian Church graciously donates their space for this event. The Hearth is not a religious ceremony. People of many faiths, or no organized faith, are in attendance. Care must be given to not promote religion, but instead promote understanding of our community members.

Looking for your songs/music involves being able to connect with the audience. Find music the audience can relate to. Perhaps you can find songs/music that compliments the theme of the Hearth event. Please submit a brief review of yourself or band at least two weeks prior to the Hearth event so that we may introduce you to the audience. Also, please provide the names of the songs you will be performing.

Please arrange to arrive at The Hearth event at 6:30. Bethany Presbyterian Church is located at 741 NW 4th St, Grants Pass 97526. You can familiarize yourself with the stage and microphone set-up. And, you can set up your equipment as needed. Please email your Hearth contact 2 weeks in advance with a three line, or so, biography so that we may introduce you at The Hearth.
